What an incredible way to kick off our first vendor event! đź“š

Bivins Books Publishing had the opportunity to share our books and “I’m a Rebel, I read past my bedtime!” shirts with families at a private event, and the response was amazing. Seeing children excited to find books that reflect them and connecting with our community made the day so special.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared encouraging words, and supported our mission. We’re just getting started, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.

Today my heart is full. ❤️📚

I'm so grateful that Mateo Never Walks Alone and its accompanying teaching unit are being used by a local instructor to teach English to adult learners!

What makes this especially meaningful:

đź“– Learners are building English skills through a story connected to their own community.
❤️ They see themselves reflected in what they're reading.
🌎 It's a reminder that books can build confidence, connection, and belonging at any age.

Today my heart is full.

One of the greatest joys as an author is seeing your work reach people in ways you never imagined. Mateo Never Walks Alone, along with the accompanying teaching unit, is being used by a local instructor to teach English to adult learners.

What makes this even more special is that they're learning the language through a story that reflects the people, places, and experiences happening right here in their own community. Language is so much more meaningful when learners can see themselves in what they're reading.

The instructor shared photos of his students using the books and lessons, and I was overwhelmed with gratitude. Moments like these remind me that books have the power to connect people, build confidence, and create belonging for every age.

I'm incredibly thankful for educators who believe in meaningful, culturally relevant learning experiences and for every reader who has welcomed Mateo Never Walks Alone into their classroom.
