I wanted to take a moment to remember Lisa Becker who has passed on. Years ago, a Senior Group started at the 1st Parish Congregation Church here in Gorham. The group called themselves “The Originals.” For 10 years or more Lisa has been the coordinator for the group and lined up speakers, musicians, and demonstrations on so many interesting topics. The meetings were informative and fun, but the biggest contribution was the community she fostered. She knew about the isolation that Seniors can experience and wanted to create a safe and loving place to convene and she made that happen. She was such a bright and kind person.
In the professional world Lisa would be called a producer, the person who sets everything up. GoCAM would show up and record the program. We recorded more than 75 videos with this group, and they are all online at https://vimeo.com/showcase/5399625?share=copy
Lisa was the most prolific producer we have ever had. All this work, never making a cent, just because her heart led her to do this service.
Thank you so much Lisa! We will miss you.
