Due to tonight's poor weather outlook, The Goshen News' publication schedule is being pushed up and we don't have time to get this into the paper, but wanted to make everyone aware:

As a result recent media spotlights on emergency food assistant efforts following recent power outages that left many families without refrigerated and frozen food, the Hunger Ends Here partners have received a significant increase in calls, messages and requests for assistance from residents who are still struggling to replace lost food.
To help meet that need, volunteers spent Wednesday packing 500 additional emergency food boxes that will be distributed during a free drive-thru food distribution from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Cultivate Food Rescue's Elkhart location, 5220 Middlebury St.
There are no eligibility requirements, no paperwork and no questions asked. Anyone in need of food assistance is encouraged to attend.
Each food box contains enough food for approximately three to four days for a family of three.

Stay safe tonight, everyone!
