Arachis Press The Arachis Press is a small publisher, presenting meaningful literature for readers of all ages. What is an Arachis and what happens when one is pressed?

Well, arachis is the scientific name for the peanut so I suppose one would have peanut oil! However, it is also a Greek word with the meaning of 'seed.' So we hope to be planting some seeds here and 'pressing' them into the soil of our readers' minds! (If you'll pardon a slightly clumsy and forced metaphor.) Our physical location is actually on a rural highway known as Peanut Road. This was one r

Incidentally, Arachis is not to be confused with nor pronounced like Arrakis, the planet in the novel Dune. The accent is on the first syllable, sort of like Aramis of The Three Musketeers.

We are busy (reasonably so) getting Oliver Davis Pikes new SF novel, Blind Jump, ready for its Oct 31 release. The book is ready, it's all the other stuff that demands our time.

We have also put up revised editions of five books in the last few weeks (and read through a similar number that needed no changes). We'll keep the up until we work through the entire catalog. And we'll still miss things here and there, of course.

We have set the official release for Oliver Davis Pike's BLIND JUMP for October 31, 2025. Yes, Halloween. Blind Jump is the fourth of Pike's Jack Mack science fiction novels, following the adventures of 'Jumping' Jack McFee.

The novel will be available in print as well as free PDF and EPUB ebooks.
