From GISD Transportation:

Temporary route change in Pecan Plantation

Brierfield Rd in Pecan Plantation is under construction and being worked on today and buses are not able to travel in that area. GISD Transportation is requesting parents and families that live in those areas to meet the Bus at Brierfield Rd & Bellchase Rd (there are two) or Bellechase and Bontura. This effect students that live on Brierfield Rd & Bontura Rd as well as connecting Courts.

Attached is a map for reference of the road construction. Thank you for your understanding.

From Texas A&M Forest Service

Very high to extreme wildfire danger continues across the state and Texans must stay vigilant in preventing wildfires. Always obey local burn bans and outdoor burning restrictions:

🔥 Wait to conduct any outdoor burning.
🔥 Avoid outdoor activities that may cause a spark such as welding, grinding or using heavy machinery.
🔥 Stay up to date on weather conditions and always use extreme caution.

While county burn ban orders are established by county judges and/or county commissioners' courts, Texas A&M Forest Service maintains updated information and displays burn bans as a public service. Check your county's burn ban status at: https://tfsweb.tamu.edu/TexasBurnBans/
