Shooting in Southern Fort Worth
Police in the southern part of Fort Worth responded to a shooting in which two minors were wounded. Both were transported to a hospital as the investigation continues. ๏ฟผ
Film Industry Growth in Fort Worth
The film business keeps expanding: acclaimed producer/director Taylor Sheridan is developing a massive new studio space in Fort Worth. The planned facility will be 5-8 times larger than his current 450,000 sq ft site in Alliance, making it one of the largest in Texas. City leadership sees the film industry as a major economic driver, with estimates of 50,000+ jobs and around $1 billion in impact for the region.
New Grocer Location for Rockwall
The Texas-based supermarket chain HโEโB is planning a new 131,000-sq-ft store in Rockwall (south-east of Dallas) that will include a full-service pharmacy with drive-thru, True Texas BBQ restaurant, and home-delivery & curbside pickup options. ๏ฟผ
The grand opening is slated for October 29, 2025 at 6 a.m. at the I-30 & S. John King Blvd location
Festival Rideโs Farewell
The State Fair of Texas in Dallas will retire its popular โLog Rideโ attraction at the end of the 2025 season. The ride, debuted in 1986, has been a longtime favorite on the fairโs Midway. ๏ฟผ
