Well here is my baby girl on the front page of the Hood County News!! She won the contest!! She is being very humble about it but not her mama. This little girl is the most affectionate and sensitive baby I’ve ever had. If she wakes up in the morning before I do she puts her little paws on my chest and gives me kisses and lays her head on my face wanting me to kiss her back. She knows the names of all our family and friends. If I or anyone is sick or upset she goes right to them and is in their face obsessively kissing whoever it is. I noticed that about her but ask my friend Tracy. There has been 2 times Miss Prissy tried her best to help her. If you met her you would love her too!!
I’m still doing the pickles. My next door neighbor Kristy, Bob, Cayden, and Skylar helped me and we made about 82 jars Wednesday. Got to restock the stores I’m in!!! I will be making the chow chow real soon because it has become so popular and sold out at the stores!! It might become my best seller over the pickles and okra— who knows!!! I put just about every vegetable you can think of in the chow chow. Let me know if you want to try it??!!

Well I don't like writing this post but I need to. I won't be able to enter the State Fair of Texas anymore and I'm sad about it. I know some of ya'll went to the fair every year and looked for my name, took pictures and sent them to me. I loved that!! I packed up my jars and mailed them to the fair. This is the first time I have ever mailed them and it cost me about $90. I have talked to a lady there for 15 years and she called me to tell me I can't enter anymore because I'm considered a professional now and not a amateur because I sell my pickled products in stores. I am still sad about it. It was a challenge and so exciting to see if I could win another ribbon. I have won every year since 2009 totaling 56 ribbons!! I even started hanging the frames on the ceiling because I ran out of room on the walls. If I find any other contest in this area I will enter again. A lot of people have asked me to make a chow chow and I finally did. It has every vegetable you can think of chopped up. I made it many years ago and Rick kept saying "that's not chow chow"! Entered it in the fair and won a ribbon !! Guess I showed him haha!! It's Cindy's version of chow chow and sooo good on a hot dog, in beans, and on crackers and cheese. It was one of my entries this year. A lot of people drink my juice because it's very healthy and I have cancer patients that drink it because they crave the salt. Another really good product of mine is the pickled onions! OMG!! They are crunchy sweet onions. People would come up to my booth at the Texas Country Reporter Festival and say "I don't like onions", I talked them into tasting them and wow -- they bought a jar! I've heard that people cook with them and grill them. Try a jar!!! If you put my pickles in a tuna or chicken sandwich, deviled eggs, potato salad you won't believe how my pickles change the flavor. Also, if ya'll didn't see the article in Hood County News about Ronny Dunn of Brooks and Dunn (Boot Scootin Boogie!!!) ordering a case of my okra please read it! I even have a picture of him and his wife holding a jar of my okra. Now that was exciting!!! I'm still The Pickle Lady/Queen on to bigger things I hope??!!!

Call now to connect with business.

Hey pickle people, if you are looking for my pickled products they are at Bee Healthy and Willow Lane here in Granbury and My Personal Chef in Aledo!! I’m no longer in Bridge St. Market. I’ve had a few people tell me that Bridge St. Market is not telling people the stores I’m in. I thought small businesses would be happy to help each other out. Guess not!???

OK, pickle people I have been laying low for awhile!!! I was in the hospital for a month and a half but getting better!!! Any of you that has ever had a pancreatic attack knows how bad that is. I had 3 this time--not fun. We had our pickle party and got a little ahead now. My 3 girls, granddaughter, grandson, Rick, Kim (she has been with us and was on the TCR show) and Diana came. This year we had 2 VIP”s come to the pickle party. The county judge came and a man that is a true hero came here. What a honor. They both love our pickles!!! Of course I have a great story about how I met them!! I wanted to let ya’ll know the Texas Country Reporter Festival is coming up Oct. 26th in Waxahachie. Bob and Kelli Phillips (the stars of the show Texas Country Reporter) will have a booth with their wonderful crew!!!! It’s from 9-7 and it’s HUGE!!! If you have watched the shows and saw something you liked it may be at this show. They have a lot of us that have things to sell there. Our booths will have a sign that says “Featured on Texas Country Reporter”!!! We are put around the square in booths and then the streets are full of booths for other talented people. Last year we ran out of our pickled goodies by 5. It was a lot of work but a lot of fun too. All 3 of my daughters will be at the festival and we will have a new friend (Vickie) with us. They have artists, bands and you will love all the entertainment. Please come!!! Also I will be at Harbor Lake Country Club here in Granbury for the annual Christmas craft show November 13, 4:30-7:30. There are all kinds of goodies there too. I got tons of orders from being on the show so thank ya’ll. I think I kept Staples in business for awhile. We entered in the State Fair of Texas contest again this year but won’t know anything til next week. It’s soooo hard waiting!!! But we have won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place on various vegetables besides our pickles every year since 2009 so one more year would be nice. We have 21 ribbons (some from cross stitch) and so proud of every one of them. If you want to order please let me know. The latest vegetable I’ve been making is pickled sweet onions. OMG they are crunchy and good enough to eat by themselves. Roots Produce here in Granbury has all our products too. The only one I don’t have in the store is pickled asparagus but I do sell it. Hope to hear from you soon. I do ship.
