Mt. Morris Twp. Man Arrested for Child S*xually Abusive Material Possession

MT. MORRIS TWP, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Kevin Ray Clarambeau, 67 of Mt. Morris Township, for aggravated possession of child s*xually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.

Clarambeau was arrested following an investigation which was initiated by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the ICAC Task Force when it was learned that Clarambeau may have been in possession of child s*xually abusive material on the internet. A search of his residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.

Clarambeau was charged with one count of child s*xually abusive material - aggravated possession and one count of using a computer to commit a crime. Clarambeau was arraigned in the 67th District Court of Genesee County on Saturday, August 1.

FLINT, Mich. — Friends Community News Group, June 7, 2026, 1:30 a.m. ET - A Flint suspect has been arraigned on murder and weapons charges in connection with a May shooting that left a 34-year-old man dead inside a Flint home.

O’Kneea Hellems was arraigned June 3 in Genesee County on eight charges, including first-degree murder, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a prohibited person, felony firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and domestic violence, according to public reports citing law enforcement and court information.

The charges stem from a shooting reported just after 11 p.m. May 2 in the 5700 block of Edwards Street, near Dupont Street and Pierson Road. Michigan State Police troopers and Flint police officers responded to the home and found a 34-year-old Flint man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police said life-saving efforts were attempted, but the man died at the scene.
Michigan State Police said Flint Major Case Unit detectives investigated the shooting as a homicide. Authorities later announced Hellems had been arrested in connection with the case.

Hellems is scheduled for a probable-cause conference at 8:30 a.m. June 11 in 67th District Court. A probable-cause conference is an early court hearing in felony cases where attorneys may discuss evidence, bond, possible plea issues and whether the case will proceed toward a preliminary examination.

The victim’s name has not been confirmed in the public reports reviewed. Police have not released detailed information about what led up to the shooting or the relationship, if any, between Hellems and the victim.

Hellems is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
