As of this morning, current acreage for the Elk Fire at is at 14,635 and 30% contained, the Lee Fire is at 113,378 Acres and 7% contained.

Afternoon update for Elk and Lee Fires August 5, 2025

Lee Fire saw large fire activity on the East side of the fire as afternoon winds pushed the fire up to Highway 13. The fire currently has not crossed Highway 13. Crews were able to prioritize structure protection on the east and west side of the Lee Fire.

The Elk Fire saw less activity today which crews were able to take advantage of. Forward progression of the Elk Fire on the south side by County Road 8 has been stopped and crews were able to work to stop forward progression to prevent the fire from crossing Beaver Creek Drainage.
