***ANNOUNCEMENT TO VILLAGE OF GRAND RAPIDS COUNCIL CANDIDATES***

As in past elections, 98.7 Towpath Radio will be reaching out to all candidates running for seats on the Village of Grand Rapids council.

I’m currently gathering contact information. If you’re already on council, I have yours. If you’re running and haven’t heard from me yet, please email me at [email protected].

Very soon, all candidates will be invited to submit a written address to voters. These statements will be published on TowpathRadio.com, which over the past five years has become a fair and balanced platform for community news. I know this because both sides have rolled their eyes at me once or twice. 😉

Not everyone is on social media, and TowpathRadio.com provides a place where the whole community can access reliable information. It truly is a great platform for a town without a local paper. While we won’t be hosting on-air debates, the 2025 Election Guide, where these candidate messages will be located, will be heavily promoted on 98.7 Towpath Radio, giving every voter the chance to know where you stand.

Bill's favorite band was Van Halen, so today at noon, during his usual time slot, we will be playing all Van Halen, and we've been lucky enough to find some audio from Bill, so you can enjoy his voice once more. We will re-run the tribute today at 5pm and post it here after it airs.
