MEET THE AUTHOR: DANIEL ABBOTT

Daniel Abbott is an author, speaker, and social justice advocate from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is the co-author of Wounds, a collaborative memoir written with Razel Jones, about the triumphs and the pains experienced on their collective journey toward cross-cultural navigation. His shorter work has appeared in Lit Hub, the Noctua Review, the Ginosko Literary Journal, and the Owen Wister Review. Daniel also writes a blog called Notes from An Alien.

Abbott holds a BA in Writing from Grand Valley State University and an MFA in Fiction from the Vermont College of Fine Arts.

He is currently working on a multi-book project titled The Dancing Skeletons Series, an epic community saga set in his hometown of Grand Rapids.

“Cars slowed down as they passed. White drivers with white passengers. White parents with white children, watching. Not seeing, I imagine, three innocent black boys being harassed by racist police officers. Seeing three black criminals being brought to justice. Young minds being shaped into wrong thinking. Generational ignorance being reinforced through misconstrued observation.”
― Daniel Abbott, Wounds

MEET THE EDITOR: AARON FENTRESS

Aaron feels a little too much like a comic book villain when he writes about himself in the third person. But he's a professional and trudge on he must. Aaron is a writer and editor bred in Indianapolis, reared in Las Vegas, and currently grazing in Brooklyn. He loves reading, watching the same four cartoons on repeat, and always enjoys a spirited conversation about life, the universe, and everything.
