OKOKOKOK

So I have an unorthodox mix I'm posting today on my SoundCloud

Last week I had the pleasure of performing at Grey Sky & Antholo-G's "Mind Melt Mixer" show at Mulligan's in Grand Rapids.

This set isn't like my usual sets...it was a full 25-minute hip-hop freestyle set featuring some super talented vocalists as well as a live percussion, including congas, cowbells, & more!

The set is raw and imperfect, but it is true to the soul and in the moment. Big big thanks to everyone who took the stage for our first set like this, I'd love to do some more of these and make it a series!!

Playing Electric Forest is an absolute dream!!

Forest was my first taste of electronic music back in 2015. I went having never heard dance music and from the first set fell in love with the music. My first EDM set I ever heard was actually at that very silent disco. I never imagined myself as a producer, or a performing artist. I was that nerdy instrumental kid that practiced clarinet 3 hours a a day and dabbled in writing classical music.

Fast forward 11 years, and getting to perform in that same space with my mega-talented wife Mar in Color is an honor I don't take lightly. Forest taught me how our society could be if people were kind & open minded. Every year I'd take back a slice of that magic to my regular life. It's like a cup that gets refilled. Some of my life's best memories are from Electric Forest. It's a great space for reflection and transformation, and for being a kid again for 4 days with all your friends.

I'll be performing this year on the Silent Disco and will be playing Thursday night form 245-345, and I'll give my musical all. Hope to see you there!
