Another section of trail was cleared today on the re-route off of Hwy 6 north of Remer with a great day to do trail work! We also took a side trip to the No Name Lake to take in the beauty there and inspect our trail work from a year ago! It was a good day with great people. 😄

Giggled out loud to this...

One does not simply “become” a master of karate. First you must accidentally walk into a spiderweb.

In your face. Literally. National parks offer many opportunities to hit the trail! Hiking is one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between. Hmm, walking into spiderweb = great cardio. In conclusion, the early bird gets the face full of spiderwebs. Sleep in. Or bring a friend. (Maybe a tall friend, just saying.) Get ready, adventure awaits.

Arrowhead Regional Development Commission (ARDC) and Age Friendly Minnesota (AFMN) invite you & your members to take part in an important survey designed to improve trail user experiences across Northeast Minnesota. Although your association covers a huge area of the Northern US, your input will help us better understand how people of all abilities perceive the navigability of trails in Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, and St. Louis Counties. The North Country Trail travels through most of these.

The survey focuses on individual trails or trail segments—so you are welcome (and encouraged!) to submit multiple responses for the different trail facilities you visit. Whether you walk, roll, bike, or hike, your insights will help future trail users make informed decisions based on their needs, comfort levels, and preferences.
