In a hard fought game that went back and forth, the Deer River Basketball boys team came up to take on the Cherry Tigers and will go home with the 78-76 win. Lawrence Bowstring goes coast to coast with 8 seconds left to find room on the right side of the lane and floats the game winner in. Bowstring finishes with 23 pts, Peter White Jr with 23 pts, and Kevin Doerr with 20 pts.

The Grand Rapids ThunderHawks Boys Basketball team win 76-70 in a hard fought overtime winner against the Bluejackets. Hibbing held the lead for most of the first half until Rapids took a 3pt lead before the end of the 1st half. In the 2nd half Rapids shooters came alive Joe Sutherland had some big time 3's racking up 25pts. Up next for Rapids they are on the road again tomorrow in Hermantown. ThunderHawks improve to 10-3 and riding a 8 game win streak
