Mark your calendar — Sunday, September 21, 2025 — for the 10th Annual Chris Kegel Slow Roll Bike Ride & Celebration in Milwaukee! Put on by

TerraTrike is proud to sponsor this free, family-friendly 10-mile ride along the scenic lakefront, and we can’t wait to see you there.

💚 Why This Ride Matters

When word spread that Chris Kegel was terminally ill, his friends and family honored him the best way they knew how — by riding. Within one week, more than 1,000 people came together for the very first Slow Roll in 2016. The slogan was simple: “The More the Merrier.”

Since then, this annual event has been about more than cycling. It’s about community, inclusion, and celebrating Chris’s legacy of bringing people together on two (and three!) wheels.

📍 Start: War Memorial Parking Lot, Downtown Milwaukee
⏰ 9:00am – Meet up & T-shirt pickup
📸 10:00am – Line up at Veterans Park for the official ride start & aerial photo
🚲 10:00–11:30am – 10-Mile Slow Roll along Milwaukee’s lakefront & Oak Leaf Trail
🎉 11:30am–2:00pm – Party at the Beer Garden at the War Memorial (free brat + beverage for riders!)
🏆 12:30pm – Official Presentation
🕒 1:00pm – Auction Ends

🚲✨ You’ve Been Riding Your Trike — Now What? ✨🚲

You’ve been logging miles, loving the ride, and maybe even giving your trike a nickname. 🙌 The best part? Unlike cars or motorcycles, there’s no strict “break-in” period. You can ride it hard and enjoy it from day one. 🎉

But here’s the truth 👉 As your trike settles in, a few small tweaks might be needed to keep it running like new:

🔧 Brakes

If your levers start pulling back further before braking kicks in, don’t worry — it’s normal cable stretch.

Quick fix: turn the barrel adjuster (at the lever) out a little at a time until your brakes feel crisp again.

⚙️ Shifting

Hear clicking or notice sloppy gear changes? That’s also just cable stretch.

Quick fix: use the barrel adjuster on your shifter housing — tiny quarter turns at a time — until shifting is smooth.

💡 Pro Tip: If adjustments still don’t feel right, your local bike shop can fine-tune things in no time.

So relax — nothing major, just part of your trike “settling in.” A couple of quick tweaks and you’ll be back to enjoying the ride. 🚴‍♀️💨

Labor Day is also about slowing down and spending time with friends and family. Whether it’s around the BBQ, at the lake, or out on the trail, this holiday is a reminder that the best moments come from the people we share them with. ❤️

Mark your calendars for July 16th at 10:00am. We've got another ride coming. 1 wheels, 2 wheels, 3 wheels, as many as you've got, bring it to our community ride!

For our July ride we are starting in Whitehall at the Whitehall Rail Trail Parking lot. We’ll pedal north through the countryside before making our way back.

Attention Midwest Riders!!

This summer we will be holding a series of Group rides featuring some awesome trails around the State of Michigan!

Kicking off the season with a scenic out-and-back ride! We’ll start at the Belmont White Pine Trail parking lot, ride north along the stunning WPT to Cedar Springs, then cruise back. So bring your trike, e-trike or whatever you've got with pedals and come join us!

Refreshments at the ride will be supplied our friends and local West Michigan dealer, West Michigan Bike & Fitness! They are also offering $10 off for participating individuals. Perfect for picking up some pre/during/post ride nutrition.

Looking to add some comfort to your seat?

Say hello to maximum comfort and support! The GreenSpeed Seat Pad is soft but firm and adds additional all-day support to the ergonomically designed seat.

Designed with purpose, the GreenSpeed Seat Pad has a soft and breathable foam layered on top of a denser base foam. This layering gives structure to the Seat Pad and is perforated for breathability. This combination reduces fatigue by maintaining support of the body as 5 miles turns into 25 miles. The additional side bolstering helps keep you locked into your seat when your ride gets spirited!
