It's actually perfectly fine -and even recommended- to get a car wash right before the rust protection process, even if the vehicle isn't fully dry. 💦

HERE'S WHY:

Krown rust protection is designed to displace moisture, not trap it. The product actively pushes water away from metal surfaces and creeps into seams, pinch welds, and hidden cavities where moisture typically sits and causes rust.

A fresh car wash helps by:
🚘removing salt, dirt, and road grime that can block the product from fully penetrating
🚘Allowing the rust protection to make direct contact with clean metal
🚘Helping the oil creep and spread more effectively

The vehicle does not need to be completely dry before application. Any remaining moisture will be displaced by the product during the treatment process. In fact, applying the protection shortly after a wash can be ideal- especially during winter- because it prevents salt and moisture from continuing to sit on the vehicle.
