As of 12:01 AM this morning, burning season has closed. This closes open debris burning, while cooking and warming fires are still allowed outside of any weather related burn bans.

Additionally, Oregon Department of Forestry's West Oregon District will enter into fire season putting public use restrictions in effect for ODF protected lands. Please keep a close eye on fire danger levels for the area you are in with this map:

Fire danger levels are also posted on our sign at Grand Ronde Rd/Hebo Highway and on our reader boards at each station.

The Father's Day paddle practice that was scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13, has been cancelled due to the memorial service for Tribal Elder Marjorie Elaine LaBonte-Robertson, which is happening at the same time. Smoke Signals will post an updated Father's Day paddle practice time when it is rescheduled.
