Tribal member and Social Media/Digital Journalist Kamiah Koch joined the Historic Preservation Office's three-day trip along the Obsidian Trail in August. As the name suggests, the Obsidian Cliffs supplies an abundant amount of obsidian (volcanic glass) which is a valuable resource for Tribes of the region for tool making.
