A Marginal Risk (1/5) is in place for all of East Texas. Storms could produce some stronger winds as well as some hail up to the size of quarters. Tornado threat is very low(currently at 2%), but is not at zero.

We are an Online Only Publication

As of January 2020, we became online only. Unfortunately, small town papers are shutting down due to high printing costs, and not enough advertisers. Instead of the Grand Saline Sun closing down the paper for good, as many of East Texas papers have done here recently, we have decided to take our paper to digital only. Although it leaves a lot of elderly out, not all, but many...we still think it is a better choice than closing the paper down indefinitely. A huge benefit to going online only, is our prices do not have to be so high, and we can use as many pictures or pages as we want. We are grateful that we were able to save the paper in this fashion. We want to continue to be able to cover our hometown community, as well as the nearby communities. Email [email protected] for your advertising needs.
