Firefighters responded quickly to a vegetation fire near Reche Canyon Road and Locust Avenue on July 10, around 12:50 PM. 🔥

The blaze, fueled by dry brush, initially spread across 5–10 acres. Crews from CAL FIRE and multiple partner agencies—including Riverside City FD, Redlands FD, and others—deployed 22 engines, aircraft, and nearly 180 personnel to contain the fire.

Thanks to their swift action, forward progress was halted later that afternoon, and no structures were damaged.
