George Jones was born in Saratoga, Texas, on September 12, 1931. He grew up to become one of country music's most influential artists, who many still cite today as one of their greatest inspirations.

George's unforgettable voice brought us country classics such as "He Stopped Loving Her Today," "White Lightning," and "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes."

After seeing himself become a country music legend, George died at the age of 81 on April 26, 2013. He would have turned 95 today. 💔
