Food. Fun. Friends. Faith…and probably a little chaos. 😂

This is what youth ministry is about. ✝️

Here’s to a new year of growing in faith, making memories, and finding your Proverbs 27:17 friends. ⚔️

We’re just getting started. 🙌🏼

For all the new faces tonight — welcome to the SSCM Youth Ministry fam! We’re so glad you’re here. 🫶

Lord, have Your way with this youth ministry. Use these young people for Your glory. Draw them deeper into Your heart, surround them with friends who point them toward You, and let this be a year they never forget. We give it all to You. Amen. 🙏

A huge thank you to the Knights of Columbus for providing pizza tonight! 🍕 Y’all are a blessing to this community.

🙏🏼

As school clothes are getting laid out and alarm clocks get set, our parish family is lifting up every student, teacher, parent, and school staff member in prayer this week and throughout the entire school year.

Whether you’re heading to a classroom down the street or a university across the country — you are not alone. Christ goes before you, beside you, and within you.

Join us in prayer🙏🏼

Lord, we praise you for the beautiful way you have created each and every one of us — for mind, body, and spirit. Be with our children as they begin a new school year. Bless them and their teachers and staff. Give them strength and grace as their bodies grow, wisdom and knowledge to their minds as they search for understanding, and peace and zeal in their hearts.

And for our teachers, Lord God, your spirit of wisdom fills the earth and teaches us your ways. Look upon these teachers. Let them strive to share their knowledge with gentle patience and endeavor always to bring the truth to eager minds. Grant that they may follow Jesus Christ, the way, the truth, and the life, forever and ever.

May our students be surrounded by good friends who know and love the Lord — and may they treat each person they encounter as another child of God.

Place a hedge of protection over all schools especially those represented by our parish families. Hold them in your mighty hands and grant safety and health to all who walk through those school doors each day.

We ask all this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

📖 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom." — Proverbs 9:10

Have a great school year!🫶🏼

We odyssey you 🫵 at Mass on Sunday

08/07/2026

Youth Ministry Catechist/Volunteer meeting is this Sunday! Prayerfully consider joining this ministry. We are always in need of helping hands on Wednesdays. You don’t need a theology degree and you don’t have to have experience. God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called.🙏🏼

Don’t forget your backpack! 🎒 There will be a blessing of the backpacks at all weekend Masses🙏🏼

🧹Please Join Us Tomorrow!

We would love all the helping hands we can get. It is a come and go style, so even just 1 hour of your day is appreciated.

We will be clearing out furniture and items that are no longer being used or needed inside the school building. All are welcome to come look and take (for free) what is wanted out of the furniture and items we are clearing out.
