I posted recently about my kids clothing going into the wash and coming out with new stains. You guys suggested that they could be polyquat stains. I thought that sounded like it could be it, but I am quite sure its not that now and totally at my wits end. My kids hardly ever use bubbles, I threw out our hand soap that had polyquaternium in it. Theres nothing else that has it and even if there was, theres no way my daughter got this much of it on her pants..
The 2 shirts I posted before with these stains have since gone through 2 seperate dawn dish soap and baking soda soaks for several hours each, then were thrown into the wash with sunlight detergent set on a normal warm wash (i used to do cold wash but was told I should try warm so Ive been trying that out). These pants were thrown in with the others on the second soak. The 2 shirts that had the previous stains came out of the wash looking better. The stains were still there, but lighter. But these pants that have been just fine for the past year suddenly are absolutely COVERED in those stains?! Wtf?? Along with a couple other newer clothing items with the similar stains but much smaller. While another pure white shirt that went through the same soak and wash came out almost totally fine except for a few tiny dots near the neckline. I cannot for the life of me come up with any rhyme or reason as to why this is happening. It almost exclusively happens to my kids clothes. And it seems to be getting worse, not better after all the things ive tried including buying new machines. I literally cried the other day because I was already so overwhelmed with other things and then I take my kids clothes out of the wash to see most of them have new stains yet again (this was a totally different load that I didn't presoak in anything). I dont even want to buy clothes for them anymore because they are getting destroyed and my money is being wasted. Someone please help me figure this out 😭😭
