SOS looking for chicken help again, 1-2 peeps, 2-3 hours a day, any time that works for you.

Orders will be filled after Labor Day, I have entirely too many things culminating that weekend that I’m working on I cannot add anything else.

I’m not purposefully ignoring anyone I am THAT busy, I’m either driving, working, cooking, cleaning, sleeping or all of these above. I can’t remember the last time I watched TV TBH.

Please bear with me, I’m trying to get all my orders filled by the end of September so I can close out the year and start cleaning 😅🫠

Hi friends! I am still swamped, working on scheduling pickups for Sundays going forward. Trying to find balance and finish out orders for the year, I will likely wrap up the website for the year in a few weeks. I’ll still post hatched or available birds on here from time to time so don’t worry!

I greatly appreciate you all, I’ve done my best to keep this going while my life just gets busier. That’s the season I’m in I suppose! Picture of one of my favorite salmon ladies who is constantly mean mugging me 😅

This one is gonna be dramatic I can already tell 🙃 Lots of hatches going off this week and next to finish filling orders probably for the year 😱

Worming seems to be working! We finished round one and will now wait 7 days to do a second round and thennnnn we should be GTG!!!

Those of you waiting for older birds I promise they are going home the second their second round is complete, I am ready for less coops to clean!

As we begin winding down for the summer hatching season and looking towards next year I will be deciding on which breeds bring me *JOY* and which do not. So keep an eye 👀 out for some laying hens, breeding pairs etc in the coming weeks!

I will likely drop a coupon code this week for the last round of hatching and am working on a give away! Training is nearly complete (thank God!) and I appreciate the patience while I am running like a chicken with my head cut off!

Hi friends! I know I’ve been a little MIA, I’ve been dealing with employees tenures ending, new peeps training AND Gapeworm in my chicken shed!

What is gapeworm you ask? Horrendous and disgusting! A worm that sits in a chickens trachea and inhibits their eating, breathing etc!! It is found in the soil via earthworms, beetles, all little things chickens love to eat!

The entire flock has gotten Aquasol although I’ve only found it in one pen at the moment. I have to retreat in 7ish days. I will not be releasing any older birds until I know for sure they are all clear.

This appears to be a prime time that worming could be done and things to look for (not just for gapeworm)

-Gasping, panting, open mouth breathing
-Lethargy
-loss of appetite and losing weight
-dirty butts
-pale combs and wattles

Being in and around your chickens everyday could save their lives. I am constantly picking chickens up, looking at feet, feeling crops, just observing them in general. That is how I spotted the one bird that I can say for sure has this and it’s the same one I watched eat an entire earthworm 2 weeks ago.

Be diligent and watchful! Chickens can’t tell you what’s wrong!

Hi friends! I’m beginning to look like Heihei in the mornings going through my inboxes.

Pleaseeeeeeeeeee don’t message me from FB and then send me an email and then send me a text and then repeat it. It doesn’t help. 😅😅😅

I know that this isn’t common knowledge but I am talking to no less than 10-30 people PER DAY.

On top of living a normal mom life just like the rest of you! keeping chickens alive, running my other business, house keeping, laundry, the curse of figuring out dinner every night (why did no one tell me this would be a thing?!)

Sometimes it will take me a day to get back to you, I can’t help it, I do my absolute best to get back within 48 hours at most.

When you send me messages on every possible platform it SLOWS ME DOWN, because now I have to find allllll the messages and often they’re all different, I have to figure out if your order is placed under your FB name or maybe your maiden name or maybe your partner’s name or just some name that sounded good at the time. It’s ALOT so please do me a solid….

Send me ONE email, keep it in ONE email chain, that makes it the easiest for me to know what you need, what we’ve talked about. That’s the FASTEST option and please remember we’re all busy and the chickens come first above all. I appreciate you all so much!!
