After a 7-hour layover in Shenzhen Bao'an Airport, it's time to fly to the world's most visited city. 🏙️
The aircraft for the flight, an A320 registered as B-6740, arrived late; however, the gate staff and flight crew were able to get it turned around in 25 minutes, and boarding commenced soon after. ⏱️

Shenzhen's A320s are equipped with a three-class configuration: business (2-2), premium economy (3-3 with the middle seat blocked), and economy class (3-3).
My seat 13F looked thin and uncomfortable, but looks can be deceiving, as it was the opposite!💺

There was no charging port, but the seat offered great legroom, individual air vents, two seat pockets, and a literature drawer. Even better, when the door closed, the seats next to mine were empty, so I had the whole row to myself! Blankets were distributed by the Cabin Crew to passengers upon request. 😁

As we taxiied to the runway, the safety video played from the overhead screens, in addition to the security briefing video.
Unfortunately, a trend I have noticed with ZH's aircraft is that they are not very clean. There were crumbs and stains on my tray table as well as the lower part of the cabin wall. 😞

A positive trend I have noticed is that Shenzhen's Cabin Crew are superb at their job, in terms of enforcing safety, as well as in customer service skills. 👏🙂

After take-off, the crew handed out bottles of water and snack boxes. Inside them were a banana, a jam roll, wasabi peas, and a hand wipe. Much better than what I got on a 3-hour British Airways flight for sure! 🍽️🍌

Similar to the LHR-SZX flight, two security officers were stationed throughout the cabin with body cameras during the flight. 👮

Before landing, the Cabin Crew handed me a small gift of Chinese tea bags, a pot of yogurt, and a thank-you note in return for the bag of chocolates I had given them at the start, which was very sweet of them. ☺️🍵

Our approach to Bangkok offered us some very nice views of the city's lights. We touched down just fifteen minutes behind schedule at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK). 🇹🇭

The queues for immigration were almost non-existent, and I went to claim my bags. 🛄
Since I had almost two and a half hours to spare before the first Airport Rail Link train came, I decided to get breakfast.

💡Travel tip: Skip the large restaurant chains on the 3rd floor and head to the 1st floor to find Magic Food Point. Here, you can find a much tastier and more affordable selection of Thai food, cooked by locals! I ate a bowl of roast duck noodle soup for just over $ 2 USD.
😋🍜

That's all for now- see you soon!

🔴 New Pacific Airlines has ceased operations due to unsustainable financial losses. The airline initially planned to operate transpacific flights between North America and Asia, with a stopover at Anchorage, but due to the closure of the Russian airspace and and delays in certification from Korean and Japanese authorities forced the airline to change its business model.
