We did this t-shirt fundraiser for Norman Care-A-Vans through OSC-Press last summer. Here are some of our wonderful supporters sporting their shirts to show that "Unionizing is and Act of Love."

It is very apparent to us that our ability to advocate for ourselves as workers is connected to our ability to stay employed, which is connected to our ability to stay housed. If our employer can exploit the unpaid or cheap labor of incarcerated people, that also takes power away from us as workers. If we are unable to advocate for ourselves or protect ourselves as workers, we could be fired and become unhoused very quickly in this economy. The solidarity of our community at the Norman Natural Grocers expanded our ability to advocate for ourselves and protect ourselves. We see and admire the way Norman Care-A-Vans builds solidarity with our unhoused neighbors and we hope that by spreading our message that unionizing is an ACT OF LOVE, and by fundraising for Norman Care-A-Vans, we can help build awareness of shared interests and objectives across our community.

ONE STRUGGLE. ONE FIGHT. ALL WORKERS UNITE!

Happy May Day (International Workers Day)! Today, workers and community members came together to fight for union contracts in Norman at Natural Grocers and Starbucks . We also marched down to Norman Pride festival to affirm that LGBTQIA rights are workers' rights! This community supports unions! Never forget that our greatest resource is each other.

On this day, 2 May 1933, the German N**i government abolished all labour unions: police units occupied all trade union offices, union officials and leaders were arrested and union funds seized.
Strikes were then banned, and German workers saw their pay tumble over the next few years while the cost of living rose rapidly.
The government also massaged unemployment figures, removing women from them, and conscripting unemployed people to the military.
Despite the repression, thousands of mostly working-class Germans still attempted to resist the N**is.
