"In the last 24 hours, we received 7/10ths of an inch of rain. Year-to-date total is 20.1 inches, compared with 22.5 last year at this time." Dwight Weiss Update for Tuesday 12/23/2025:
"In the last 24 hours, we received 1.2 inches of rain, giving us a total, year-to-date, of 19.4 inches. Last year at this time, we were at 22.4 inches. We are catching up, and I think that today is the calm before the big storm on Christmas Day."

S Pine St in Nevada City will be closed from Sacramento St to Spring St December 22nd 2025 from 10:00AM to 1:00PM.

Due to the fallen tree last night, a large boulder was dislodged and crews will be working to remove the boulder to ensure safe travels.
