Village Digital Productions
Internship — Frequently asked questions
What is Village Digital Productions?
VDP started as a Broadcasting & Media Production Company in Grayling, Michigan offering videography services – filming events. Then VDP evolved into a software / media company.
What does Village Digital Productions do?
In early 2016 filming started in the U.P to produce a pilot for a sightseeing RV travel program aimed at fall PBS TV.
Stymied while searching for places to film for the pilot the conclusion was reached that what was needed was a video based software program. There was none.
By August 15, 2016 this became a company goal — produce a video based trip planning software program that included PDF maps with descriptions and directions. It would be a complete listing of the sightseeing points of interest (POI's) in Michigan. Region 1 O-Tra© software became available by August 2017. Then the real frustration came about - getting the word out of its existence. There is nothing on the market to compare it to. Contact has been made with multiple Marketing companies with little result for a reasonable, workable business plan.
