Officials from the Army, Grayling Township, City of Grayling and partner agencies discussed funding, current interim actions and possible solutions to combat PFAS contamination at Camp Grayling.
Assistant Secretary of the United States Army for Installations Energy and Environment (ASA) Jordan Gillis said the Army does prioritize clean drinking water for people (to combat PFAS contamination), and is committed to continuing to fund Grayling Township’s public water connections, at a pace aligned with the water utility’s schedule in 2026 and 2027. In addition, the Army is committed to the City of Grayling’s water well relocation, he said.
