Taylor Strong

Taylor Strong To inspire the world through my story of resilience, determination, and the unbreakable bond between a girl and her dream. Don't believe me come visit her!

I may have a spinal cord injury, but nothing will stop me from riding — or rising. Taylor just turned 16 on May 30, got her license, started working at Timmerman's to help pay for board! Everything was going so well she was so happy her life just began! One week and one day later she woke up, fed the dogs and said BYE mom, I am off to work and I will see you tonight! Love you...... she called me i

n the afternoon at work to say hi then at 5 p.m. she called me and said she is going to stay after work to ride for a little while. About an hour later I got the call that she was bucked off from a new horse and she hurt her back so they were calling an ambulance I never realized how bad this was going to be! I got to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville where they did a full scan to find out that she broke her spine and injured her spinal cord so they airlifted her to Lutheran General to perform surgery! Taylor made it through surgery just fine but has absolutely no feeling from her chest down to her feet! Thank God my daughter is alive and she still has use of her upper body! She is beautiful she is strong and she is the bravest 16 year old that you will ever meet! Taylor's dream is to own her own Barn, train horses, train riders and get back on her horse again! I will make sure this happens! I won't be able to work at my hair salon but I will work my butt off with Beachbody and helping people get healthy and support my children! I refuse to give up! I have made it through so many struggles in my life and now my daughter has and now my daughter has to we will not give up! My 4 beautiful children will be just fine! Taylor D'Agostino I love you and I am so proud of you! You are beautiful kind caring giving you have such a beautiful heart and such an amazing soul! No matter what......we got this! I will do whatever it takes!

Bathroom update
Gotta love contractors …

Me: What about storage in her bathroom?
Them: We have a budget
Me: where is she supposed to store her medical supplies?
Them: what about above the toilet?
Me: 🤦‍♀️ you do know she is in a wheelchair right?
Them: let me talk to my boss

😳
Starting in a few weeks

Thank you for the birthday wishes for Taylor yesterday! We had a great day celebrating 💜

Happy 26th 🤯 Birthday to my beautiful daughter/sister lol , Taylor. ❤️

Today is a very special day because 26 years ago, God gave me one of the greatest gifts of my life, you.

Watching you become the woman you are today has been one of the biggest honors of my life. Your strength, perseverance, determination, attitude, and beautiful smile continue to amaze me every single day.

Ten years ago, our lives changed forever in a matter of seconds, and not many people could have handled what you went through with the grace and courage that you did at only 16 years old. But you never gave up. You kept going. You kept believing. You kept showing up with strength even on the hardest days.

You have taught me more about life, resilience, gratitude, and mindset than you will ever know. You inspire so many people just by being YOU.

I am beyond proud to be your mom. Thank you for showing the world what true strength looks like.

Keep shining, keep smiling, and keep proving that nothing can stop a determined soul.

I love you more than words could ever explain. Happy Birthday Tay

Love,
Me

From Taylor.....

"It's ok to have a bad day, just don't stay there"

Living with someone in a wheelchair teaches you real fast what actually matters 😂

At some point you stop noticing the dents in the refrigerator, the marks on the cabinets, the scratches on the doors, and the little battle wounds around the house.
Because honestly… those things can be replaced.

Independence, determination, laughter, and watching someone refuse to give up? That’s the stuff that matters most.

Our house may not look “perfect” anymore, but it’s filled with strength, resilience, problem-solving, and a whole lot of creative driving skills 🚪♿😂

And if you know… you KNOW when you hear the random BANG from the other room and nobody even reacts anymore 😅

Taylor’s birthday is this Saturday. 🤩 Some people have asked what she would like. If you are interested in getting her something, let me know and I could send you a link or I could get her Venmo.

She definitely wants to decorate her office at work 💜

People see the wheelchair.
What they don’t always see is the determination behind it.

This is how Taylor gets into her truck independently using her Bruno lift and Asento XL seat.
What might take someone seconds can take planning, patience, strength, balance, adaptability, and resilience.

But here’s the beautiful part…
She still does it. Every single day.

Independence is something many people take for granted until it’s no longer easy.
And yet, some of the strongest people in the world are the ones who have had to learn an entirely new way to move through life.

Taylor continues to prove that life doesn’t end after adversity.
You adapt.
You rise.
You keep going.

Maybe this video will remind someone today to stop complaining about the little things…
or to appreciate the simple things they can do without even thinking twice.

And maybe it will remind someone else that even after life changes forever, you are still capable of living fully, freely, and independently. ❤️
