Just saw Theodore Bouloukos Theodore Bouloukos in the excellent film Eephus at the Chicago Film Festival, great script ensemble cast and cinematography. Enjoyed it so much Teddy, you delivered some wonderfully funny and moving scenes.

The Paris 2024 Olympics is a New Era for Women in Sport. USA Women’s Volleyball were victorious today against a ferocious team from Serbia. Octane created and produced a series of broadcast spots featuring a volleyball athlete airing now during the Olympics. The campaign included a series of television ads, radio spots, original photography and design for print celebrating the true story of Jermaine Antwine who returned to championship form thanks to the Sports Medicine professionals at Texas Spine & Joint Hospital. Shout out to our client, Jess Mowery, the marketing maven helping to make this story happen along with our Octane team: Blake Huang, Christine Forni, Yeva Dashevsky, Mo Doumbia, Jim Luning and Hannah Vrbancic. Thank to everyone who came out last Friday to the Chicago Maritime Museum for James Forni presentation of the Captain Bill Pinkney exhibit films I directed chronicling the story of the first black sailor to solo circumnavigate the globe in a sailboat.
The new permanent exhibit at the Chicago Maritime Museum features Octane’s 15 short films celebrating the life of Captain Bill Pinkney in an interactive display. Please visit this important and inspiring installation.

14 Years to the Start

A conversation with Joe Seifert 14 years ago turned into a Docu-series today. In 2007, I met Joe Seifert at The Family Secrets Trial while shooting a story for Chicago Magazine. In 2018, I optioned his book, Deadly Associates from author Matt Meadath. In 2019 Octane was greenlit to produce the series. Then Covid-19.

Sixteen months later, we finally begin the documentary. Never give up, never give in.
