For nearly 40 years, Colorado has been home to an organization helping people find greater independence, one dog at a time 🐾💙

Since 1987, Freedom Service Dogs of America (FSD) () has been purpose breeding, raising, and training assistance dogs for veterans, first responders, people living with disabilities, and mental health and public safety professionals, all at no cost to the people they serve.

FSD has graduated nearly 1,000 client-dog teams, providing not only highly trained dogs, but also lifetime support for the people and families who rely on them. From restoring independence to providing comfort and support, each partnership is built around helping someone live a fuller, more confident life.

Making this work possible is a community of volunteers, donors, and local partners, including Chevron (). Through financial support, employee engagement, and community involvement, Chevron helps FSD continue providing life-changing service dogs and lifetime support at no cost to recipients.

A family farm can grow a lot more than vegetables ... it can grow a legacy 🥕🌱

In 1908, Emily Hungenberg began farming seven acres of land in Greeley with her three sons. More than a century later, Hungenberg Produce is still family-owned, with the fourth, fifth, and sixth generations continuing the work she started.

The farm has changed dramatically since Emily’s time, but the values she passed down have remained: work hard, make the most of what you have, take care of your family, and leave something behind for the next generation. Today, those lessons live on in the fields, in family memories, and even in small reminders like the envelopes of thread Emily carefully saved from worn clothing.
