Back in the day I went to Pensacola Beach for a quick R&R from graduate school. I was tanning on Pensacola beach one day then drove back to Mississippi State. 24 hours later parts of the Florida panhandle got 6" of snow. I arrived back at school in time to get slammed by a big snow storm. It was 30 years ago when The Storm of the Century hit from the Gulf of Mexico all the way up the east coast.
