We are a non-profit, 501(c)(3) radio station offering a mix of music that matters, and giving voice to the service organizations in our community. This is radio unlike radio as you have experienced it before. Our mission is to be a part of your day, and our community, in a meaningful way. We are supported by listeners and sponsors who also believe that radio should offer more than the same old song and dance. The music is timeless, and being part of this community is very cool.
Mission: To give voice and presence to the nonprofit community in Northeast Wisconsin.

The Avenue is proud to present, a new online video offering:
Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band - Master Class
Marc Golde, producer at Rock Garden Studio and Steve March-Tormé take you behind the scenes for a look at one of the most beloved albums of all time. Released in 1967, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band bridged the cultural division between popular music and high art.
This exclusive Avenue video filmed at Rock Garden Studio, shares previously unheard audio from the original sessions. Golde isolates tracks from five songs, and guides you through a deeper look at the songwriting, production, innovations and experimental techniques used to create this historic album in fascinating detail as only a producer can. Together with Avenue host and Beatles fanatic, Steve March-Tormé, the two share stories and insights that will leave you with an even deeper appreciation for the iconic album. It’s an absolute must for Beatles fans, as well as music fans of every generation.
Available now in the Avenue’s online store at Avenueradio.com for a donation of $25 – you'll receive a link and pass code for on-demand viewing.

We'd like to welcome a new media partner 91.1 The Avenue to the Flannel Fest family!
91.1 The Avenue:
Ten years ago, The Avenue was born with a vision to create a dynamic non-profit radio station, dedicated to giving nonprofits unprecedented access to the airwaves for the greater good of our community. Fueled by an independent spirit, and by the generosity of our members and corporate business partners who believe in our mission, we have continued to provide a strong voice for basic human needs and other nonprofit services, while offering a mix of music that’s simply not available anywhere else.
A community that supports independent radio is a great place to live and work. Thank you McFleshman's Brewing Co. Stone Arch Brewpub and Appleton Beer Factory for supporting The Avenue and this music community. Let it pour so we can let it play 🤘🏼🍺
Making our community even better is one of our top priorities. This is why we joined up with our brew buds at Stone Arch Brewpub and Appleton Beer Factory to make On Air Milkshake IPA. $5 from every six pack goes to 91.1 The Avenue, our independent local radio station. Up until recently, a big part of their funding came from sweet music events. Covid has obviously taken this source away. Support them (and our musical stages!) by picking some up in our taproom. Because independence matters.
We’re visiting with Matthew Szlachetka tonight in the first break of the 9p hour. Tune in about 9:10 to hear him talk about his latest release “Old Soul” and get a listen to our new favorite Szlachetka song!
"Young heart, old soul. There's a place for you here."

Out of an abundance of caution, and with an eye towards the news, The Grand Oshkosh has decided to present SUNDAE + MR. GOESSL as a livestream-only event. The show will take place live from the stage at The Grand on Saturday, October 3, at 7:30 p.m.
“Like everyone else, we’ve had an eye on the COVID-19 spread in our area”, said Joseph Ferlo, Director of The Grand Oshkosh. “We are very proud of our safe re-opening protocols, and one of them was to prepare for just a situation like this. We debuted our multi-camera livestream capabilities on September 12, and I’m confident we will be able to provide our audience with a quality performance, right in their living rooms. Our next performances after this weekend are November 20-21 and we will have time to re-assess the situation in the weeks ahead.”
Ticket holders will be contacted directly via phone and email and will be given the option to exchange for livestream access. Livestream tickets will remain on sale up to the time of performance, at https://bit.ly/LivestreamSundaeMrG. Tech support will be available via phone at (920) 267-7554 on the evening of the show.
While we're not together physically this weekend, we can still collectively escape to another musical era with Sundae + Mr. Goessl. As always, thank you for your support.
Join Rob Friday for the Friday Night Spotlight sponsored by Nicolet Bank. In the Spotlight this Friday, Van Morrison. Tune in or stream online or using the free 91.1 The Avenue app.
