We learned Kelly cancelled her Vegas residency tour last night to be with her kids due to Brandon’s health issues. Today he passed. 😢

Low-B is our of the week 🐾

He is 4 years old and weighs 55 pounds!

Low-B is a very sweet and affectionate dog. Staff and volunteers have quickly fallen in love with him and his joyous spirit. And even though he may be blind, that doesn’t stop him from being adventurous and carefree!💙🏡

Like all dogs at WHS, Low-B is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

He also goes home with a FREE bag of starter food and a certificate for a FREE vet exam.

Statement from Kelly Clarkson on the postponement of her Vegas Residency. ❤️

Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas.
 
While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.
 
I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.

My fiancé is kicking my sister out of the wedding party.
My sister is a free-spirited, ever-curious type, big on nature and all. A total tomboy and a bit reckless, she's practically a regular at the ER with all her wild escapades. Our wedding is around the corner and my sister got into a freak accident. She came out of the hospital with a broken arm, two black eyes, and a chipped front tooth.

I visited her and she told me to not kick her out of the wedding. I thought that comment was out of nowhere. Turns out my fiancé and sister made an agreement that my sister wouldn't do anything that could ruin the image of the wedding. My fiancé is convinced my sister is doing this for attention. Last Christmas my sister "stole the show" with her leg cast.

I told my fiancé that she's being irrational. But she insist that it would be better to not have my sister in the wedding party. She doesn't want to look back at her wedding photos and just see my sister stuck out like a sore thumb. I personally do not want to kick my sister out, but I also do not want to upset my fiancé. What should I do?

Only in Wisconsin: When the air feels like a sauna, it might just be the corn sweating it out! Thanks for the reminder that even our crops can’t handle the humidity. 😅

The time of peak corn sweat has arrived. 🌽💦 One corn stalk can release 4 cups of water a day as it grows taller and cools itself down.

On days with light south winds it gets extra humid: You can bring humidity up from the Gulf and get more humidity from our corn and soybean fields.

On days with light north winds, you can get a little bit of break: We still have the humidity from the corn fields but we can cut off the Gulf’s flow temporarily.

This is normal and it happens every year. In fact all plants transpire, or release water v***r. They pull the water up from the soil, move nutrients around, grow, and also cool down.

If you put a plastic bag on top of a plant, especially on a hot, sunny day, you’ll see water droplets form very quickly.

Corn uses a lot of water and our fields are dense so it can enhance the humidity. It’s just a part of being a Hoosier in the summer :).
