It's a huge pumpkin year across Northeast Wisconsin and the U.P.! We visited Berryland in Abrams (Oconto County), where farmer Andy LeFebre planted around 30,000 seeds, resulting in a massive variety of carving and decorating pumpkins. Berryland's popular fall fest, a form of local agritourism, is now a destination for families. You can take a mildly haunted hayride to the patch to pick your pumpkin right off the vine, or select a pre-picked one. The fest is open daily at 5687 Steinkraus Ln. in Abrams (9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.). Weekends offer hayrides, activities, and any size pumpkin for a flat $12 fee. Don't miss the chance to find the perfect Jack-o’-lantern before they're gone!
