Kindness tip:
Whenever I see a cashier having a tough day, I always look at the candy selection, if there is one, and look stumped as to what to get. I ask them "I can't decide. What's your favorite?" I buy whatever they say, then hand it to them after the sale and tell them they're doing a great job and to have a great day. It perks them up every single time.

So basically… a lifetime subscription to your house.

Because nothing says “financial freedom” like paying $517,449.78 in interest for a $300,000 home.
Yep… more in interest than the house is even worth. Make it make sense.

Here’s the math, in case someone thinks I’m exaggerating…
💰 Home price… $300,000
📉 Interest rate… 5%
📅 Term… 50 YEARS
💸 Total interest paid… $517,449.78
💸 Total paid overall… $817,449.78

So who benefits from this genius idea?
(I’ll give you a hint… it’s not the family trying to retire someday.)

And listen… this is exactly why I’m always talking about taking back control of your income.
We can’t rely on the economy to get easier. It won’t.
We can’t rely on a single paycheck to keep up. It won’t.
And we definitely can’t expect a 50-year mortgage to magically make life affordable.

Consistent income streams… skills you can grow… something you own and control…
That’s the real safety net.

🚨 GMAIL PSA — NO SNOOPING: ACCESS DENIED 🚨

So apparently, while we were all minding our business, Google quietly flipped the switch on Gemini AI inside every Gmail account as of October 10th.

Meaning: it can now peek at your emails, attachments, receipts, customer info, banking details, love letters, THAT argument thread… basically anything living in your inbox.

If that gives you “umm, no thank you” vibes, here’s how to shut it down (I already did 🙋‍♀️):

On Desktop:
1️⃣ Open Gmail → hit the little gear icon → “See all settings.”
2️⃣ Scroll down and turn off “Smart features in Google Workspace and other products”
3️⃣ Scroll up one option → “Smart features and personalization”
4️⃣ Uncheck → "Turn on smart features in Gmail, Chat, and Meet"
5️⃣ Save → reload GMail → breathe.

Are you team “Yay, smarter inbox!”
or team “Yeahhh no, please get out of my emails, Google.

I'm an adopter of AI and use it often, but I prefer some control over when, where and how......

Out enjoying this fabulous fall weather, so of course we wandered down to the DePere Lock and Dam.

And what do we find? A whole bouquet of Love Locks on the piers....because nothing says eternal devotion like a padlock slowly rusting in Wisconsin weather. 😂

Some of these locks were honestly iconic, though. Couples are getting creative! Wonder how many keys are in the bottom of the river?

Thankful Thursday 🙏

Every morning my feet hit the ground... I’m thankful.

I know I say it often, but it’s worth repeating... I don’t have to move my body.....I GET to. Even on the days I don’t feel like working out, I remind myself what a gift it is to be able to.

So many are facing serious health battles... illness, disease, fatigue, dependency on prescriptions... and it’s a sobering reminder of how quickly health can slip away when we take it for granted.

That’s why I’ve made it a priority to fuel my body with better choices... quality nutrition, consistent movement, and products I trust to support my goals naturally. Am I on point all the time....NOPE! But I do try to live by the 80/20 rule.

I don’t share this to boast... I share it to encourage you... take control of your health before it takes control of you!

You only get one body... treat it like the blessing it is. 💚

This includes what you tell yourself! Those words can be the most dangerous.

If not… stop wasting your energy.
If yes… take action.

Too many people stay stuck because fear and self-doubt talk them out of doing the very things that could change their situation.

💪 Health not where you want it?
💰 Finances off track?
🌎 Geomagnetic storm threatening the grid?

Two of those… you can fix.
One… not so much.

So where’s your energy going.... into worry or action?

I can’t control the sun… but I can take care of my body, my mindset, and my income.
