Good luck to the runners today as they compete at West Central Valley. Also, Nodaway Valley Volleyball is at AC/GC tonight for a 5 p.m. quad against the Chargers, West Central Valley and Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton. We're thankful we'll be able to be at both! Go Wolverines!

Warren Cultural Center recently announced its upcoming 2026-27 event series, which begins Sept. 12 with a concert by the Des Moines band Back to Vinyl, which plays a lot of 70s and 80s music you'll know. In a recent Adair County Board of Supervisors meeting, Sheriff Jeff Vandewater went over a program that he would like to start where he could hand a challenge coin to an individual as a way of saying thank you for them doing little things that are above and beyond to help law enforcement.
