We were part of the Intergenerational Film Festival for Greenfield Community College! Not going to brag, but we made the cutest video of all time. Check it out! Thanks to Susie for being our star and writing an amazing film, and thanks to GCC for asking us to be a part of it.

Did you know that GCTV has been in business for nearly 40 years? That's pretty remarkable! We've got decades of media technology to back it up, and now we're making room for the future with a massive tag sale. If you're a vintage tech enthusiast—or know someone who is—you won’t want to miss this event. From cameras and VCRs to computers, recording equipment, servers, speakers, and so much more, there will be an incredible variety of items on sale. Mark your calendar for May 9 from 11 am to 3 pm because this is shaping up to be an unforgettable event!

That’s not all! Alongside the tag sale, we’re also hosting an open studio community day. Even if vintage tech isn’t your thing, you can explore our television studio located in a beautifully converted masonic ballroom and try out some of the latest technology. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to connect with us!

It’s been a magical two weeks at GCTV!

Last week, we taught a radio DJ class, and I got to witness two first-time DJs mix Kate Bush’s “Babooshka” with Disco Snails—something I never knew I needed to hear.

The next day, we said farewell to Eve’s art show where she led us through a meditation and portal ceremony.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get more creative, we hosted a storyboarding class for filmmakers. In just one hour, participants learned how to use so many different types of shots—truly mind-blowing!

Thank you to everyone who brings their creative energy to GCTV every day. It’s such a joy to watch people develop skills so quickly and, most importantly, MAKE ART!

Eve Christoph’s 30-year painting retrospective closing party is this Friday, March 27, at 6 PM.

The closing reception will feature a special reading by Eve from her new book, Eve’s Eden: Pillars of Existence, along with live music by Robert Markey, performing sacred Indian sitar music in the style of Ravi Shankar.

These paintings are deeply connected to the stories in Christoph’s book—come experience the vivid works in person before diving into the written journey.

See you soon, art lovers.

P**i Wieland was truly a force.

A lifelong activist, she was also deeply loved by public access stations and community media makers across the region.

I heard a story recently about how she brought a Flip video camera from Northampton Open Media into a jail in the West Bank after being arrested there in the late 2000s. Man, I wish I could see that footage.

We will miss her dearly, and we are grateful for the energy, conviction, and community she brought to her work.

You can watch old episodes of her show she made in 2025 "Good Trouble Makers" on our YouTube and continue learning from her legacy.

We are so sad to finally make to our last episode of the Variety Show with kids at the Y! Hopefully we can make more soon!
