The Greenport BID Beautification Committee’s 2nd community-powered summer litter pick is this Sunday, June 25th from 4:30 to 5:15pm.

Anyone who is interested in plucking our Village sparkling clean is welcome…families, friend-pods, dog-led humans, etc.

Meet at Ralph’s Famous Italian Ices on Front St. Come back no later than 5:15 with your bag of litter and Ralph’s, our super-generous sponsor, is offering a free milkshake or ice cream (cone or dish!) for all volunteers!

ATTENTION: STREET CLOSURE CHANGES FOR JUNE 24TH PRIDE PARADE & FESTIVITIES

Front St. between the blinking light and Third St. will be shut down after the Parade until 5PM. LOWER MAIN TO CLAUDIOS IS NOW ALSO CLOSED!
Main Street will only be closed for the parade which kicks off at Noon.

The Greenport BID’s Beautification Committee’s inaugural litter pick on June 11th was a success! Our thanks to community volunteers John Barrett, Marisa Harney, Ellen Jaffe, Bonnie and Ira Kantor, Kevin O’Shea and Ann Sage for their energy and community spirit. They and our Committee members collected 12 bags of litter! And a huge thanks to Greenport Harbor Brewing for their support. Stay tuned for details on the next pick soon.

The Greenport BID Beautification Committee is running a Community-powered litter pick this Sunday, June 11th from 4:30pm to 5:15pm. Anyone who is interested in plucking our Village clean of litter is welcome….families, friend pods, etc.
Meet at the Greenport Harbor Brewery on Carpenter St. at 4:30pm to get gloves, bags and a zone in the Village to focus on. Come back by 5:15 with your bag of litter and all volunteers 21+ will receive a voucher for a free beer courtesy of our generous BID supporter, the Brewery. We’ll weigh and log how much trash we pick and celebrate our community spirit!
