So we're on Day 10 of our 21 Day No Meat Challenge, and honestly, one of the hardest parts has been figuring out what to eat when you don't feel like meal prepping. 😩

Tonight we decided to try Mike's Vegan Grill for the first time, and overall it was a pretty good experience!

Tall Guy got a burger, and from what I could tell, it was pretty tasty. I went with a sub, and while it wasn't bad at all, it was just a little too messy for me. 🀣

Y'all know how sometimes your first mind tells you exactly what to order, but you talk yourself into something else? Yeah... that was me. 😩 I wanted the burger from the beginning and should've just gotten it.

The food was good though, and I would definitely go back. Next time, I'm getting the burger. πŸ”πŸ˜‚

A Little Piece of My Journey ❀️

These pictures are hard to post because they show a version of me that I don't always recognize anymore.

The girl on the left didn't realize how unhealthy she was.

Looking back, I can see the inflammation, stress, hormone imbalance, and what many call cortisol face. Whether it was stress, PCOS, insulin resistance, lack of sleep, or all of the above, my body was trying to tell me something.

Then I became a mom.

Having my son made me realize that I wanted more than just getting through the day. I wanted to be healthy enough to live, play, travel, make memories, and be present for my babies.

And I'm so thankful I finally started listening.

This wasn't an overnight transformation, and it definitely wasn't one thing. It was learning my body, supporting my hormones, healing my gut, making better choices, and giving myself grace along the way.

There is no trophy for struggling the hardest.

Whether your journey includes herbs, supplements, GLP-1s, surgery, exercise, or a combination of things, do what works for YOU. The goal isn't to do it the "right" way. The goal is to get healthy, feel good, and be here for the people who love us. 🫢🏿

I'm sharing these pictures because I want you to see the difference. Not just in my face, but in my quality of life.

This is your reminder that it's never too late to start taking your health back. ❀️

You deserve to feel good.
You deserve energy.
You deserve confidence.

I can't even lie... the wait was worth it.

We are a few days into our 21-Day Reset, and whew... I'm not even gonna hold you... πŸ˜‚

The meat part? I'm doing okay with that. Salmon and tuna have definitely been helping me stay on track. 🐟

But babyyyy... the sugar cravings have been trying to take me OUT! 🍦πŸͺ🀣 If ice cream could text me, it probably would have by now.

That's why I wanted to drop a few educational gems tonight. 🌿 Sometimes having a few natural tools and healthy options in your corner can make the journey a little easier.

Remember, this isn't about being perfect. It's about making better choices one day at a time and giving our bodies a chance to reset, heal, and thrive. πŸ’š

Babyyyy... sometimes it's not that you're lazy, unmotivated, or doing something wrong.

Sometimes your body is trying to tell you something. πŸ’š

For years, I thought it was simply a matter of eating less, exercising more, and trying harder. But for many women, especially those dealing with PCOS, perimenopause, stubborn weight gain, or constant cravings, insulin resistance may be part of the picture.

When your body becomes resistant to insulin, it has a harder time using sugar for energy. Over time, that can show up as:

β–ͺ️ Belly weight that won't budge
β–ͺ️ Fatigue

I'm only on Day 2, but one thing about me? I'm gonna see it through. πŸ˜‚

For the next 21 days, I'm choosing me.

More water. More fruits & veggies. No meat. No added sugar. More paying attention to what I'm putting in this body.

Not because I'm chasing a number on a scale... but because I want to feel good, have energy, and be around for my babies.

Wellllll... the Tall Guy and I made it to the store and grabbed everything for Week 1 of our 21-Day Reset! πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸπŸ‰πŸ‹πŸ₯¬

For the next 21 days we're focusing on:
More fruits & veggies βœ… More water βœ… Less processed foods βœ… Being intentional about what goes INTO our bodies

The plan is no meat for me (I might dibble-dabble with a little salmon or tuna πŸ˜…), but my REAL challenge?

πŸͺ🍫🍬 SUGAR.

Babyyyy... it's not the meat I'm worried about. It's them sweets calling my name from across the room. πŸ˜‚

But we're doing this because health matters. Our babies need us healthy, energized, and around for a long time. ❀️

One thing I've learned on this wellness journey is that everything starts with the gut. When we're more mindful about what we're feeding our bodies, we're giving ourselves a better chance to feel better, move better, and show up better.

So here's to fresh starts, cleaner choices, and seeing what happens over the next 21 days. 🌿πŸ’ͺ🏾
