For Erin and Joel Wenger, the start of another school year is truly a family affair. 📚

Joel begins his 21st year as an orchestra director at Southwest Middle School, while Erin enters her 18th year as an elementary school teacher and teaches first grade at Sternberger Elementary. Their sons, Wesley and William, are beginning eighth and third grade. 🍎

“I love teaching first grade at Sternberger Elementary, especially because I get to teach children from my own neighborhood,” Erin says. That connection between home, school, and community is one of the many things the Wengers value about life in Starmount. ❤️

Celebrate the educators, students, and families who make our neighborhood special in the September issue of Stroll Starmount. ✨
