The reality is that we don’t hear God because He’s not speaking, but because there’s too much noise in our ear to recognize the still small voice that is His.

In a world where we are increasingly and already so busy, distracted, and obligated to so many things, it becomes easy to bring that same mindset in our relationship with God.

But this mindset can actually be a hindrance towards your relationship God where me misinterpret God’s character as being silent when the truth is it’s to noisy to hear Him.

The same way you’re at a loud party, but really enjoy the conversation you’re having with one individual, and there’s loud music, laughing, drinking clinking, and just constant noise.

So, you ask them if they’d like to talk outside where it’s quieter so you can hear them better. You do this because what they have to say is important to you.

It’s no different with God.

Sometimes we hav to get quiet.

Sometimes we have to silence the noise.

Be still.

And know He is God, through our stillness.

“He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.””
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Go in peace, and search out the stillness and hear Him ✝️🫶🏾

When you’re waiting on God to show up, what do you do?

Do you fixate on the worst case scenarios?

Do you curse yourself and your situation?

Do you become angry because of your lack of control and take it out on God?

Or, do you sit at His feet and wait patiently?

In the last video I posted, I talked about the struggle of wrestling with need while waiting on God.

And to be honest I have done everything I listed above. When you’re waiting on God to show up, it’s in that period of waiting where He begins to strengthen your faith, test your humility, and honestly, help you recognize just how much you need Him.

And when God showed up, and HE DID 🙏🏾😭!!!…my pride almost got in the way of receiving it because it didn’t come the way i thought it should.

The truth is, with being in control, I get to remain the hero of my own story. God has showed up on my behalf in ways that can only be Him. And He’s reminded me that I am not the hero to my story; I never was.

🫶🏾 to all those God has used to bless me, encourage me, pray for me, and even give to me in more ways than one, from the bottom of my heart thank you✝️

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”

May the Lord honor and remember your love towards me 🙏🏾

Wherever you are in your waiting season, know that the Lord is faithful. And if He did it for me, He can certainly do it for you🙂‍↕️✝️

“Who is Jesus to you?”

Man, currently, He’s my Light in a world of darkness and confusion.

But, He’s also my friend.

My teacher.

My lover.

My savior.

My protection.

My peace.

My direction.

My purpose.

My joy.

My everything.

Don’t know where I’d be, what I’d be doing, without Him.

Glory to the Most High 🫶🏾

If you don’t know Jesus, now is the time 🙂‍↕️🫵🏾

What does it mean to love God?

Truly, it boils down to this simple sentence I heard from the Holy Spirit in prayer.

“It’s a choice.”

When you get up in the morning, you can choose to scroll, or choose to flip through the pages of the Word and spend that first part of your day in prayer.

When you’re in the car and someone cuts you off, you can choose to bless them or curse them with your words and your thoughts.

When you mess up, you can choose to repent and return to Jesus, or run farther away.

When it’s time to die to self, you can choose to give up your will and submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit, or you can choose yourself, your flesh, and what you want over His will.

This walk with Jesus is not a matter of do’s and don’ts, rather it’s a matter of choices:

My will, or His 👆🏾

Truly it is easier said than done: just remember that it’s not comfortable to die to ourselves, hence the name death.

But, Jesus promises life and life abundant. So, this is your encouragement to choose life, choose that which is eternal and won’t fade.

Deny yourself, pick up your cross, and follow Him ✝️

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
