Background: I took a job in Idaho and have been living away from my wife and daughter, who live in Atlanta, since July. My wife is staying in Atlanta for the time being until my daughter's school is over and the apartment lease is up. Now, I'm coming home for Christmas and my flight arrives at 7 AM on the 21st. My wife refuses to pick me up from the airport and told me to get an Uber. She says that me asking her to pick her up is selfish on my part and she was embarrassed to tell her friends that I even asked. She says that 'as the man' I have to take care of my family and shouldn't ask her to pick me up, that I have to find my own way home. Further stating that a 'normal' husband would not do this. She goes on to explain that the drive to the airport is too far, my flight arrives too early, she has too many 'things to do', and she can't be expected to wake our 6-year-old daughter up early, just to pick me up from the airport. I should also point out that an Uber, or any rideshare, from the Atlanta airport to my home is going to cost $60 minimum. I've always grown up thinking that you do anything for family, including picking them up from the airport. But she is making it sound like I'm in the wrong for asking, but I don't feel I'm in the wrong because this is the kind of thing that you should do for your family. And I can't understand her point of view. AITA for asking my wife to pick me up from the airport? EDIT: More details based on comments * My wife is not...

I live in an apartment block - to access the property after 8pm you must carry your front door key with you, we were all told this prior to moving in. A tenant has moved in downstairs and she leaves the back door unlocked to allow herself to come and go without taking her key. She isn't supposed to do this, and she has been told multiple times to take her front door key in case the door locks which she has ignored. She has started treating me like a literal doorman - knocking loudly on my windows and repeatedly buzzing my apartment to try to get me to open the door for her. It is daily and it riles up my dog every time - and it always occurs after 9pm. I have let her in twice in good faith, then told her the third time to take her key and that I will no longer be answering. She decided to go out with her dog this evening and again didn't bother to take her key, when she started buzzing and knocking on my windows loudly. I shut off my buzzer, gave my dog a treat and closed the doors, deciding to ignore her and continue watching my movie instead. This is where I could be TA, it's dark out at the moment, late and she's outside by herself with her dog, shes been out there for about 45 minutes, we also live in a shady area - not dangerous but definitely not pleasant at night. She has been sat outside on the doorstep on her phone angrily ranting about me to her friends - like I'm her DAD. I don't know this woman aside from her treating me like a concierge. AITA? Edit for update: I opened the...

I will try to keep this short. I am getting married and I live in the south. My younger sister who is 16 is bouncing around with her clothing style. She is now wearing more Tom boy stuff which in general the family doesn’t care. Most of the women work on a farm and most of the family wear male clothes when working. Mostly due to pockets not being a thing for women clothes. So really no one is turning heads at her new clothes choice. My wedding is coming up, she gave me a call saying she didn’t want to wear a dress. I said okay, go get a suit or pantsuit. She told me she didn’t want to do that either. She wanted to wear her day to day clothes. I told her no and she needs to dress in formal attire. She told me she was uncomfortable with a dress and a suit seemed like too much. I told her to show up in formal attire. I don’t care what it is dress, pantsuit, suit. This started an agruement about how she doesn’t want to wear any of that. I told her I don’t care what she wears just as long as it is formal clothes. She thinks I am a jerk and my mom thinks I am being too harsh on her. I don’t think it’s that hard to dress formal for 5 hours.

I saw a different AITA post about names so I thought I'd join the fun. My first name is Arshdeep. It's not an uncommon name, there's quite a few of us. I don't believe it's hard to pronounce, but it is one that is prone to certain jokes. However, one would imagine that these jokes would stop in the professional world (protip, they don't). I was originally born not in my current country, but my parents and myself moved countries when I was an infant. English is my only language and I'm a citizen of the country I live in. I grew up here, have the local accent and consider this my country. My boss is asking me to change my name to something "more workplace appropriate" like Ash particularly since my name will be publicly attached to some of the work we've done. I've also been asked by quite a few people at the office if I can give them a different name to call me by. I don't see my name as inappropriate, only that people's reactionary thoughts and the jokes are. Boss has been asking for about 5 months now. Every time she asks, I log it down as I find it quite r__ist to ask someone to change their name because they don't like it. I'm very close to pulling the trigger taking action against them but I wondering if that'd be a seen as an a__hole move.
