Meet Our Guest Expert:
The VOS Social Media Review show on Sunday, November 23, will feature Dr. Labor, a highly respected psychiatrist and neurologist with over 20 years of experience in neuroscience, mental health, and addiction treatment.

His career began in the UK and advanced in the USA, where he worked on research related to Alzheimer’s dementia, coordinated mental health and chemical dependency programs, and worked closely with people suffering from addiction. He has trained with top U.S. institutions, including Cornell University, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and later completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Addiction Institute. He continues to serve as a consultant psychiatrist and academic professional.

What to Expect During the Show:
In this session, Dr. Labor will help us understand addiction as a disease, not a crime. We will explore how addiction affects the brain, why it must be treated as a medical condition, and how proper care can lead to recovery.

The discussion will focus mainly on Kush, using credible research sources such as the UNODC and a Dutch study conducted in Sierra Leone. Although the research is based on publicly available information, it reflects important scientific insights relevant to Sierra Leone.

Given the holiday period, the conversation may briefly touch on other substances like tramadol and alcohol, but the primary focus remains on Kush addiction and its health implications.
