I spend a lot of time behind the wheel.

Long stretches of road.
Red lights.
Miles that seem to disappear somewhere between one song and the next.

And every now and then, I’ll pull into the driveway and realize…

I don’t really remember the miles.

I remember the song.
The thought.
The conversation I was having with myself.

Funny how the road can do that.

Give you enough space
to hear things you’ve been too busy to notice.

So I’ve been wondering…

What are you listening to?

Not just what’s coming through the speakers.

I mean the voices you give your attention to.
The people who have your ear.
The music that moves something in you.
The stories you keep telling yourself.

Because we spend so much time filling the silence.

Podcasts.
Playlists.
Notifications.
Conversations.
Another destination.

Anything to keep from sitting alone with our own thoughts.

But maybe the quiet isn’t something to escape.

Maybe it’s where we finally hear ourselves.

Maybe the miles aren’t just getting us somewhere.

Maybe they’re shaping who we become along the way.

The wrong turns.
The red lights.
The unexpected exits.
The songs we play on repeat.

The life happening between where we started
and where we think we’re supposed to end up.

That’s The Life In Between.

And after all those hours behind the wheel,
I’m starting to think the question isn’t always…

“Where are you going?”

Maybe it’s:

“What is the road teaching you while you’re getting there?”

Miley got it started. Britney made us forget we had responsibilities. 😂

And somewhere between “Party in the U.S.A.” and that first Britney beat dropping, the whole room shifted.

That’s the magic for me.

I don’t just want to play songs you like. I want to catch the moment when the right song becomes the song the whole room needed.

Nostalgia. Connection. Joy. A little chaos. 🎧

All part of spreading love through music — and faithfully showing up to do what I’ve been called to do, one room at a time. 💕

Earlybirds Club understood the assignment.

There’s the party… and then there are the moments that belong only to you. 💕

One of my favorite parts of a wedding night is when the room clears, the noise settles, and the couple gets a few minutes to simply be married.

No guests.
No performance.
No pressure.

Just them, the music, and a moment they’ll remember long after the reception ends.

Reviews like this mean so much because my job has never been just to play music. It’s to read the room, protect the moments, create the energy—and know when it’s time to let the music simply hold the memory.
