Several P1s have been affected by the flooding in Alamance County, and we want to help! Here is some info if you are able to reach out:
💧Water Distribution
Due to continued repairs at the Graham-Mebane Water Treatment Plant following Tropical Storm Chantal and the City declaring Stage V mandatory restrictions from its Water Shortage Response Plan, bottled water is being distributed to Mebane residents.
The following Distribution Sites will be open daily until supplies run out:
✅Mebane Arts & Community Center (MACC) – 633 Corregidor St. (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) - The Mebane Arts Center will also be passing out 2 Gallon Water jugs for residents as well.
✅Mebane Fire Station 2 – 405 N. First St. (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
Summit Church – 1485 Mebane Oaks Dr. (Open July 10, 9a .m. to 4 p.m.)
The City is accepting donations of bottled water during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the following locations:
✅Mebane Arts and Community Center
✅Mebane Fire Station 2
✅Alamance Chamber
Starting today, the YMCA in Burlington is offering free use of their shower facilities for residents of the City to come shower anytime between 5:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. and then from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Available Hours: Monday - Friday
They do not have towels, but they do have soap for those in need.
Residents will have to sign a quick waiver at the check-in desk at the front before showering.
Clay Street Tavern and Junction on 70 are also distributing and collecting bottled water for residents of Mebane.
