hether it’s telling their story through video, having an online presence or learning how to use the basic elements of computers and smart technology, we provide support to our region. We do this through three basic elements that make up the Center. Services are available for people to utilize our expertise to help them carry out their mission and vision. Education is in place to teach on how to use media more effectively and we have the Tools that provide a rural area access to state-of-the-art media tools and high-end technology resources at affordable rates.

Local Business Development Coordinator

Location: Kiowa County

About the Role

Kiowa County Economic Development is seeking a Local Business Development Coordinator to support small businesses, entrepreneurs, and community projects that strengthen our rural economy. This position will serve as the go-to resource for business support, coordinate countywide initiatives, and help create opportunities that make our community a great place to live, work, and grow.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one support to local businesses and startups.

Connect entrepreneurs to resources, financing, and training.

Maintain Office Space within the Economic Development Organization, and Assist with county projects (housing, childcare, broadband, tourism, downtown revitalization).

Pursue grants and partnerships to support community growth.

Organize workshops, networking events, and business training.

Work with the Cities within Kiowa County, and Report regularly to the County Commission and Economic Development Board.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in small business, economic development, or community leadership.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Grant writing and project management experience helpful.

Self-starter able to work independently in a rural setting.

Compensation
Full or Part Time, salary based on experience and hours committed. Flexible schedule with some evening/weekend events required.

We would like to extend a Major Thank you to Ingalls High School USD 477 for allowing us to Tap into their Hudl Focus camera!
We had some personnel issues arise and were not able to get anyone to Ingalls tonight in time for the JH Volleyball games but with Ingalls staff allowing us to use their camera we are still able to bring you the JH Volleyball on the Maverick Athletics Youtube page!
