Andrew is the founder and CEO of Athelo Group, a sports marketing and athlete representation agency he built from scratch with no business degree, no safety net, and two partners who thought websites for athletes was a viable plan. A $407 prescription bill before his second open heart surgery sent Carl Stecker down a path he couldn’t ignore.

What he uncovered was staggering. Major pharmacy chains were marking up some prescriptions between 1500% and 3000%.

That obsession became FreeRx, a subscription model delivering prescriptions for under $50 a month. But the road to building it was anything but smooth.

Carl survived three open heart surgeries, spent 11 days in a coma, and watched his Ohio pharmacy partner go bankrupt overnight while customers were waiting on medications. Instead of shutting down, he bought into pharmacies across four states and kept building.
