Inflation can be found in nature, accept it's gift of free currency....This has been written as a reminder to me. It's not enough that I go out and photograph it. ----.. I'm too caught up in my own shenanigans, my own daily wants to take notice. Have a sweet day dear friends. XO.

28 years... And sober.
I am not redeemed.
Regular emotional and perception Tune ups, check ups and overhauls are still necessary.
Sometimes they are successful, sometimes, not.
This is a journey of spiritual progress, not perfection.
I am sick and tired of myself obsessing over retirement.
Are there things in your life you continue to hold on to but hope to let go of?

I'm glad nature is recession proof.
I'm glad the things of real value are not dependent upon financial stability. The 1% will never jeopardize my relationships. Much love friends. Xo.

: 'Get sober or, get out!'
The threat of losing my family and home was the trigger to say the Bravest thing I had ever said: 'HELP.'

Have you ever faced a threat that forced you to make radical change?

Muted colors at Edisto.
Not because it is, but because sometimes, I like to focus on just one or two small elements. Erase the traffic, and blur my self imposed boundaries.

We never saw our addiction as a lack of power.
In fact, it was the one thing that gave us a sense of power. A power made of paper that we wore like a cape hoping every time it rained it would keep us safe and dry from the storm.
When it didn't, we fashioned a new one, (ad nauseum), thinking if we changed the color or pattern it would surely keep us dry.

The rains kept coming. The cape didn't work, we slogged through another day.
We drank for the effects. Once we chose a path of recovery we had a dilemma.
All we wanted was relief, not healing. We chased relief like we did in the bottle. We wanted to straighten up and fly right so that we could drink like a normal person. How would we live a sober life where it would be boring and glum?
To our disdain, we found out that it was the first drink that set the ball rolling...ugh.
We could decide...do I want to continue on to the bitter end or choose a path of spiritual help?

I'll take my wh***ey, you'll take a bone. I'll drink to forget the heavy of life.
I'll sleep to survive another day's strife.

Summer at Atalaya.
A cool 90Β°, under the shade of the palmettos where you can still hear the distant echo of wooden heels on the cobblestone floors.
Where, if you like, you can imagine the life inside the austere rooms with sun dappled light on the floors. Either that, or you can rush through, take a few quick tacky shots of you and the family so you can leave it in your phone until it eventually ends up in the phones trash bin and you never lay eyes on it or the experience again and you wonder what the purpose of life is. πŸ˜†πŸ˜†.
