🚨 Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued 🚨
A dangerous storm is moving out of Northeast Georgia and pushing into Anderson and Oconee Counties — bringing winds over 60 mph and the threat of large hail.

This is mainly a wind-driven storm, and it’s rushing fast through the Upstate:
🕗 Greenville: around 8 PM
🕘 Spartanburg: around 9 PM

This one means business — stay indoors and stay with me for updates.

The interchange at I-85 and SC 290 has officially been converted to a diverging diamond in Spartanburg!

As only third diverging diamond in the state, the new configuration helps drivers safely navigate the intersection while also reducing congestion. As diverging diamonds can take some getting used to, be cautious as you adjust to the new traffic pattern in the area.

Need to be weather aware this afternoon.

‼️The wording on the new **WARNING** for tonight is strong… Our area is placed under the rarely issued “significant hail threat” which means the hail that does form could be 2 inches in diameter or greater! 🥚 🎾 🏓 Egg, ping pong to tennis ball size are possible!!! This is a rare set up in the atmosphere where the colder air above our heads is so pronounced that the hailstones are larger when they reach the ground. Timing Is early evening for mountains and late evening for Upstate
